Info: In 1981, Model international (who got the moulds from Fischer) decided to start making models in plastic. This, ofcourse, required investments in machinery and expensive moulds. After a lot of pre-production problems, including the bankruptcy of one of the suppliers, the first plastic models were available under the PreP name in 1981. The PreP name has often been explained as Pre-Praline. The PreP models were produced in Hongkong
The first Praline models came onto the market in 1982.
Praline changed the bottomplate and made an removable tow hook. They used black-wall tires & chrome rims, no bumper guards and a steering wheel
MFB (Modell- und Formenbau GmbH, Germany) produced the former Praline models until MFB was taken over by Busch in 1994
